Your hens look lovely. Are they called poults or pullets when they get past the chick stage, not sure? I like the markings on the black and white ones.
I have some hens too, I used to have a lovely leghorn called Hatty but she recently passed away after nearly five years on the farm - she certainly ruled the roost! I now have 7 hens that I inherited from my neighbour and they are four years old so just living their days out free ranging round the farmyard. My husband gets cross with them when they dig up the plants in the garden!
I am new to your blog but will enjoy reading it.
