a clove bud or two, or anise, and top off with lemon juice and a splash of rum or brandy to help preserve--sometimes even peach schnapps.  I set out a 1/4 cup for the kids before school every morning or in the evening.

An Appalachian medicine woman once told me that mountain folks in the first half of the 1900&#039;s avoided deaths by flu because they regularly took elderberry.]]></description>
