It’s been an unexpectedly busy week around here. That means I haven’t had much time for blogging … but we did find some time to escape to a peaceful spot next to a stream this afternoon. It’s in our neighborhood, just a few blocks from our house. But something about the sound of the water and the sunlight slicing through the tree branches makes it feel like a much more exotic get-away. It was exactly what we needed.

Beautiful photos! It reminds me of a wooded property we’re buying. It’s just a couple of acres but will offer an escape from living inside the city limits. Ours also has a small creek that borders the back of the property.
